PMD Recording opened as commercial recording facility in 1997. After 4 years of commericial audio recording work, we expanded our services to include music production and digital media services. Read on for more.......

Music Production

The decision to focus on music production has been incredibly rewarding. Although we have worked on the highest level projects, we pursue independent level work. Our company has made sweepeing changes in order to be to be most competitive at any level. See the "Events" page for more information on recent projects.

Recording/Mixing/Mastering

In 2008 we greatly expanded our primary Bernice Lane studio. It now includes 3 live rooms, 1 vocal booth, 2 guest bedrooms, and a full kitchen and laundry. Our accomodations allow guests to stay at Bernice indefinitely. This studio is well suited to album recording, pre-production, tour rehearsals and more. Independent engineers are welcome.

Chesterfield is our new dedicated mixing/mastering suite operated by Chris Kress. It features an excellent acoustic design and choice selection of outboard gear.

Digital Media Services

What exactly is Digital Media Services? We define it as any type of transfer, manipulation, replication, or archival of digital media (recordings). It may also be described as "Entertainment Media Services". We draw on our computer science background to provide high level systems for a wide variety of audio/video data needs. Recently, we have performed these types of services for national acts such as the Dave Matthews Band, Alicia Keys, O.A.R., Jon Mayers, Anastacia, Christina Aguilera, and others. Whatever the job, It is mission critical work with tight deadlines, and of the highest quality. Example services include:

- Project conversion from/to any DAW format

- Project Archival from any DAW format

- DA78-to-DAW transfers

- MX2424-to-DAW transfers

- Mission Critical CD-R/DVD-R manufacturing

- Archival (Tape, CD-R, DVD-R)

- Consulting on live-recording and related archival solutions
